Things You Need to Know About Getting Vaccinated
The main theme of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme is ‘Lindung Diri, Lindung Semua’. It emphasises that protection for all Malaysians will only be achieved if we can vaccinate as many eligible individuals as possible. Therefore, MR.DIY would like to encourage everyone to get vaccinated.

What is the COVID-19 vaccine?

The COVID-19 vaccine stimulates the immune system, so that if exposed to the virus, the body can respond to the COVID-19 infection. All COVID-19 vaccines approved by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Division (NPRA) for use in Malaysia are safe and effective. NPRA is the governing body responsible for evaluating vaccines that are to be registered in Malaysia.

Why take the COVID-19 vaccine?
The use of the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the steps taken to stop the COVID-19 pandemic. However, compliance with SOPs and the practice of new norms such as observing daily hygiene, wearing face masks and physical isolation will still be needed in practice until as many residents as possible have received the vaccine.

Who can receive the COVID-19 vaccine?
All individuals aged 18 and older. However, some part of the community needs further consideration for this vaccination, namely:-
  • Individuals with severe allergies
  • Pregnant women and nursing mothers
  • COVID-19 positive individuals
  • Individuals with immune system issues

When can I receive COVID-19 vaccine?
Vaccination candidates will receive confirmation of date and assigned Vaccination Distribution Centre (PPV) two weeks before their scheduled appointment. Appointment information such as the date and location of vaccination will be notified via the MySejahtera application, phone call or SMS.

How do I register for the COVID-19 vaccine?
Registrations for the COVID-19 vaccine are carried out through the MySejahtera application, through www.vaksincovid.gov.my, registration at government & private health facilities and outreach programs in rural & village areas.
