Do’s and Don’ts to Stay Safe from COVID-19
Everyone has a role to play to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. With the recent rise of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia , here is a reminder from MR.DIY on some of the Do’s and Don’ts to stay safe from the COVID-19 virus:
DO’S
2. If soap and water is not available, use alcohol-based hand rub or sanitizer to thoroughly clean your hands.
3. Practice ‘social distancing’ – maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Stay home as much as possible to further reduce your risk of being exposed.
4. Always wear a face mask when you have to go outside.
5. Seek medical treatment if you have symptoms of cough or flu and clearly explain your travel history to the doctor.
DON’T
1. ..Go out too much. This is a period to stay at home as much as possible to reduce any risk.2. ..Stay close to a crowd. Being too close to a lot of people encourages rapid spread. Practice social distancing.
3. ..socialise with people who are sick at this time – stay at least three to six feet away from them.
4. ..touch your eyes, nose and mouth. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses and once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth where the virus can enter your body and make you sick.
If we act responsibly, collectively and early, we shall overcome this.
