Shop Safely with MR.DIY

It’s great to see many people practicing social distancing and safety! To ensure that MR.DIY continues to promote health and safety for our employees and customers in this current situation, here are some of the steps that we have taken:

Compulsory Body Temperature Checking Before Entering the Store

One of the steps MR.DIY has taken is to ensure that it is compulsory for customers to take their body temperature checking before entering the store. This is just one of the tools that we can use to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.

Enforcing Always-On Face Mask for Staffs and Customers

To reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19, especially from those who are asymptomatic, it is compulsory for all staff and customers to wear face masks in the store. Please understand that the face mask is to protect wearers from any airborne particles.

Limiting the Number of Customers per Session

We want to prioritize health and safety by encouraging customers to do their shopping at a distance from others. One way is by limiting the number of customers who can be in a store at once as we expect this to help more customers avoid coming into close contact with others as they shop. Due to the importance of social distancing while waiting to enter a store, especially before it opens in the morning, we are using floor markers so that it is easier for customers to know where to stand.

Practice Social Distancing

We’ll continue to put signage and floor markers inside our stores to remind customers of the need to maintain social distancing – especially in lines.

Regular Sanitisation of All Baskets, Trolleys and Store Area

Lastly, we continue to focus on regularly cleaning and sanitizing all of our baskets, trolleys and store areas as well as any surface areas that often comes in contact with people and needs to be cleaned. Our store assistants will assist to clean our baskets and trolleys thoroughly, so that it is ready to use for the next customer.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, MR.DIY will continue to listen to advice from medical experts, associates and customers, and consider how we can best serve people while helping slow the spread of the virus. The health and safety of our employees and customers are what matters the most.
