Tips to Be Active at Home
As we enter the third phase of MCO, its important to keep active while working from home. Make sure to prioritise health more and build a daily routine to promote well being. Here are a few tips from MR.DIY:

1. Regularly check your sitting posture while working from home.

find yourself slouching or sitting in positions that are not good for your posture. Straighten your back. As the day goes on, you may find yourself slipping out of this position. It’s not natural yet, so you’ll need to remind yourself to shift back.try to keep your back straight and your core engaged as much as you can

2. Break up your sitting and stand up while working, on the phone, or watching TV.

Get your blood running when you stand up while working, on the phone or watching TV. Now matter how good your posture is while sitting, you don’t want to do it for too long. Not only is this bad for your back, but it’s bad for your heart.
We know that sometimes you might get so busy that you don’t realize how long you’ve been sitting there, so set yourself some reminders. Even a quick stretch and a bathroom break is better than nothing.

3. Walk up and down the stairs

A simple stroll up and down the stairs gives you an aerobic workout. stair climbing helps strengthen and tone your leg muscles. It keeps your leg arteries flexible, allowing blood to move more easily. Better blood flow in your legs equals a healthier heart and body.

4. Do some stretching exercise

The best way to avoid  any back ache or neck pain is to do some stretching exercises a few times a day when working from home. Some stretching exercises include neck roll, backward and forward shoulder rolls, spine twist, and hamstring stretch. Try it!

5. Seek more ideas and resources online

There are plenty of ways that people are being creative with their home workout. Research some blogs and videos to find an idea that works out for you.
