Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) Taman Ibu Kota, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur has demonstrated its community’s common good towards preserving the cleanliness and preventing the spread of dengue in the neighborhood, has launched the “Gotong-Royong Merdeka 2022” on 10 September 2022. 

A total of 400 residents who undertook the task, worked together to spruce up their residential and surrounding areas by collecting garbage and clearing debris from the roads near Taman Ibu Kota (Kiri dan Kanan), Main Road of Taman Ibu Kota as well as its recreational and park area.

For this initiative, MR.DIY has contributed 70 packs of garbage plastic bags, 40 sets of dustpans, 40 units of gardening hoes, 10 units of lawn shears, 75 pieces of hand gloves and 20 boxes of face masks.

MR.DIY congratulates KRT Taman Ibu Kota and hope they will continue this collaborative effort to upkeep the residential area and make it clean and beautiful for the residents. This was indeed a uniquely Malaysian practice that brings people together to make the impossible possible.
