MR.DIY CSR: Post Flood Cleanup at Staff Homes in Hulu Langat, Selangor
Reported by the local news as the most catastrophic flood to ever hit the country, the incident has indeed affected many households resulting in tremendous losses.
One badly affected area was Hulu Langat, home for some of MR.DIY employees. To help our employees during this challenging period, MR.DIY Cares unit quickly mobilised 60 volunteers to assist with the houses' clean-up.
Our volunteers came prepared and equipped for the clean-up with essential cleaning tools from pails, disposable gloves, sponges, mops, sweepers, shovels, water dippers, floor brush, water hose, rubber boots, and garbage bags.
Additionally, MR.DIY also provided food and hygiene packs to employees and nearby residents in need, including biscuits, Milo, canned food, instant noodles, soap, toothbrush, shampoo, dishwasher soap, first aid kits, and medicines. COVID-19 essentials were too provided; face masks, hand sanitisers, and disinfectants.
