The challenges faced by most of us due to COVID-19 pandemic did not hinder MR.DIY from making continuous efforts on environmental conservation. Through one of its corporate social responsibilities (CSR) initiatives called ‘MR.DIY Seed Planting Project’, MR.DIY has deployed its volunteers to support this good cause.

A total of 20 MR.DIY volunteers has participated and contributed their energy in this program, which took place on 25 August 2022 at Tapak Semaian Jabatan Perhutanan, Mantin, Negeri Sembilan. This program is a collaboration with Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Sembilan (JPNS).

MR.DIY volunteers were given tasks on the seedling process which included scooping of soil into 600 polybags, sowed 1,000 seedlings, and rebaged 250 seedlings as well as planted 20 trees of Merawan Siput Jantan. For this program, MR.DIY contributed plastic stools, scopes, pails, gardening gloves and rubber boots.

This initiative was conducted as one of MR.DIY efforts to foster environmental awareness among its staff, especially in the preservation and conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity of flora and fauna.

MR.DIY is committed and hope to inculcate a deeper sense of responsibility to the younger generation in efforts to preserve the environment and reduce pollution.
