MR.DIY CSR: Soroptimist 6 Homes and Learning Center
MR.DIY bolstered partnership with the Soroptimist International Club of Damansara (SID) once again, with a vision and efforts of contributing to the well-being of societies in Malaysia.For the second year running, this time MR.DIY and SID has reached out to six homes in Selangor and one learning center in Perak held from 26 July until 25 October 2022, providing aid consisting of household items and personal care items to the less fortunate community.
MR.DIY and SID share the same vision to assist underprivileged communities by providing the aids they need. This strategic partnership embodied MR.DIY vision on the partnership for sustainable development.

1. Pure Life Society, Kuala Lumpur
The Pure Life Society is a home for orphans and underprivileged children in Kuala Lumpur that promotes the spirit of unity in the face of diversity through service to the community irrespective of race or religion.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including drain clog, stain removers, garbages plastics bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpastes, nail clippers and sanitary pads.
2. Assunta Children’s Society, Selangor
Initiated in 1966 by Sr. Theresa Gier, Assunta Children Society has been set up as a learning center that enabled them to direct tasks of protecting, caring, and supporting the kids while they lived with their families.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including garbage’s plastic bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, shampoos, toothbrushes, and toothpastes.
3. Mentari B2 Learning Centre, Selangor
Established in 2011, the B2 Desa Mentari Learning Centre is a center that offers free tuition to students from underprivileged families who stay at Desa Mentari Flat.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including garbage’s plastic bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, shampoos, toothbrushes, and toothpastes.

4. Myanmar Refugee Community Learning Centre (MRCLC), Kuala Lumpur
MRCLC is a refugee school in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. The school is recognized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) where displaced communities have the right to seek safe refuge and build a better future at their new homes. Most of the 82 students who attend MRCLC are from the Chin community and are aged between 5 to 15 years old.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including drain clog, stain removers, garbage’s plastics bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and sanitary pads.
5. Agape Home, Selangor
Agape Home is a shelter and education center for Orang Asli and stateless children in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang, Selangor.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including drain clog, stain removers, garbage’s plastics bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and sanitary pads.
In addition to that, MR.DIY has contributed its household accessories such as kitchen knives, floor rugs, clock, dishrack, stove cover, extension wire cord and many more.
6. Rumah Aman
'Rumah Aman' means 'House of Peace' in the Malay language. Located in Shah Alam, Malaysia, it provides a caring environment for the care and upbringing of boys who are orphans and/or from needy families.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including garbage’s plastic bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, shampoos, toothbrushes, and toothpastes.

7. EDUFUN Centre, Ipoh, Perak
Established in 2012, EDUFUN Learning Centre was set up by Soroptimist International Ipoh (SI Ipoh) to cater for poor children aged between 6 to 15 years. Located at Bekor Flats in Taman Pertama, Buntong, Ipoh, Perak, EDUFUN is a long-term solution to keep these kids off the streets and offer them activities that benefit both in academic and social skills improvement.
MR.DIY has contributed household items including drain clog, stain removers, garbages plastics bag, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners, mops, brushes, washing powders, dishwashers, softeners, floor cleaners, deodorants, shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpastes, nail clippers, sanitary pads, and stationery items.
